HALLOWEEN
DOESN’T HAVE
TO BE SCARY
THERE’S A LIGHT THAT
SHINES BRIGHTER
THAN THE DARKNESS
HIS NAME IS JESUS
A BRIGHTER HALLOWEEN IS POSSIBLE ⬇
LIGHT BEATS DARK! 💡
Have you ever been somewhere really dark? Even a tiny light can make a HUGE difference.
A torch.
A candle.
A glowing pumpkin.
Suddenly, the darkness doesn’t seem quite so scary does it?
Jesus said he’s like that.
He came to bring light into the world, helping people know they are loved, never forgotten and never alone.
Light wins!
Happy Halloween!!!
Happy Halloween!!!
DID YOU KNOW? 👀
The word Halloween comes from All Hallows’ Eve.
That means the night before All Saints’ Day, a day Christians remember people who loved and followed Jesus.
So while Halloween today can be full of ghosts and scary costumes…
we’re choosing to celebrate LIGHT! ✨
MEET JESUS 👋
So, who is Jesus?
Jesus lived a long time ago but he is much more than just someone from history.
Jesus:
❤️ loved people
👋 welcomed everyone
🍞 helped people in need
🩹 cared for people who were hurting
🙏 taught people about God
✨ showed people that God loves them
Jesus wants us to know something really important:
You are loved.
THE AMAZING PART…
Jesus died on a cross.
That sounds like the end of the story… But it wasn’t!
Three days later, Jesus was alive again - this is Easter.
And it’s why you can know that even when life feels dark or scary, there is always hope!
Darkness didn’t win.
Jesus is alive! 🌟
Halloween can be a scary & dark time for many of us…
But we think there’s another story worth discovering, one filled with light, hope, love and life.
That’s why Christians from churches across Sheffield launched the Happy Halloween Project.
